IGN - Defeating the Elementals (as submitted by Mike Johnson) doesn't quite cover every approach necessary by each of the character classes. Hopefully, this will cover what Mike didn't mention. It should also be mentioned that there's a limited amount of time to defeat each Elemental after it shows up; if not defeated within about 1-2 days of game time, the Hero has failed and it's "game over." It's far easier to acquire the items necessary BEFORE each Elemental shows up and prevents the player from wasting time when time itself may be the critical factor; the Hero leaves for Rasier on the morning of Day 17.

Wikipedia - The game follows the path of its predecessor, although there are distinctions in gameplay. Trial by Fire operates on a restricted time frame; the entire plot is concluded in 30 days. Many of the puzzles in the game do not appear or cannot be solved until certain days. This keeps gameplay on a tight, linear narrative.
